Southern USA is a bit different. Our Bermuda greens go dormant and tend to be faster. Softer balls feel so much better off irons than harder balls especially with our humidity and colder air together. More club into greens, yes.
Knit cap but I still use a ball cap or visor over it to cut sun glare especially with the sun lower in the sky all day..
Two gloves isn’t a bad idea to keep hands warm.
Terrible video useless tips. Firmer ball? You use softer compression balls not firmer.
The best balls I have found for showing up in fall grass/leaves are the Titleist Velocity matte green balls. They almost glow it seems, and I can spot long before other colors. Just personal experience, but worth a try!

I also use a SPURK winter mat when I am practicing alone !
Weather proofs ? -No need to buy golf specific brands if you don’t want to !
